“Today's vote is a win for kids. Camden's students deserve high-quality schools in state-of-the-art facilities, like those in more affluent parts of the state. And as we work to significantly improve our existing district schools, this bill helps us take us a step toward achieving that vision.”For more on yesterday's Assembly vote on the Urban Hope Act (yes: 42; no:12), see today's NJ Spotlight.
Can't say if it's a win for kids, but it's surely a bonanza for charter operators who will be funded at 95% of the per-pupil public school rate.
