Catholic Partnership Schools is holding a 2013 Education Summit at Burlington County College in Mt. Laurel on March 13th. The event is described as “a premier gathering of academics, educators, social workers, early education specialists and others for a daylong exploration of the long-term physiological and neurological impact of poverty and trauma on children’s ability to learn.” Keynoter will be Paul Tough, author of “How Children Succeed: Grit, Curiosity, and the Hidden Power of Character.” Registration is here.
Also, Education Law Center is hosting a “wine and food tasting” in honor of Wade Henderson, President & CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights, on May 8th.
