Interdistrict School Choice Bill Passes Assembly

Snaps to the NJ Assembly for approving A-355 by a vote of 75-0 yesterday, a bill that would create a permanent interdistrict school choice program. The bill was sponsored by Assemblywomen Mila Jasey and Joan Voss and Assemblyman Paul Moriarty. Our former interdistrict program has been in suspended animation since it expired in 2005, in spite of an enthusiastic recommendation from then-Commissioner William Librera that it be expanded.
